Job Description

Primary Objective of the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by adhering and supporting the HR policies procedures and guidelines. The HR Generalist will support a wide range of HR functions including but not limited to managing assigned stations HR projects and benefits administration. This role will be a key resource for human resources shared service delivery to provide exceptional service to our internal stakeholders.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Work closely with Human Resources Business Partner providing recruitment and onboarding support.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation: participate in onboarding meetings.
  • Assist with the timely and accurate administration of new hires pay and personnel changes.
  • Coordinate daytoday processing of benefits programs including enrollment of new employees changes and terminations.
  • Perform audits of benefit plans to identify gaps and implement resolutions.
  • Coordinate and support HR projects such as planning coordinating communicating and executing.
  • Develop metrics and provide reporting and analysis as required (i.e. headcount turnover demographics; by consolidating data from different platforms into meaningful dashboards and presentations provide analysis to support new initiatives and ongoing projects); develop action plans which addresses the gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Support HR management with matters related to employee relations and grievances in accordance with relevant legislation company polices and best practices.
  • Work closely with the HR team and other stakeholders to proactively recommend and prioritize deliverables.
  • Assist with ongoing document management including filing and preparing for company audits.
  • Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations.
  • Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within HR functions.
  • Postsecondary education in HR Management preferably CHRP/CHRL certified.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in using standard functions in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • A quick thinker who brings a positive and highenergy approach to getting things done.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail is critical part of this role.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of multiple competing priorities.
  • Professional and friendly communications with potential candidates coworkers and clients.
  • Demonstrated competency with verbal and written business English spelling punctuation and grammar.
