Job Description
ProvideUNFaffiliates access to information resources/materials at the Thomas G. Carpenter Library by performing various functions such as the following:
Staff service desks
Assist patrons in accessing materials/resources online and in person
Answer general informational questions via phone email and in person at service desks;
Assist and instruct patrons in navigating librarys website
Assist staff with daily functions including opening library as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Available to work Mondays Fridays 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on days when your assistance is needed to open); possible additional paid hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic communication skills
Basic computer skills
Basic library skills
Basic general library equipment(printer photocopier scanner)skills

This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in person training session.
