PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing service support and collaboration for Technology Services in the areas of Budget Management Utility Invoicing and ERate related services. The Technology Budget & ERate Specialist will facilitate the communication between the vendors ERate administrators district campus or facilities and Technology Services to provide innovative timely and accurate solutions that create value in support of CFISD goals and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in management information systems business administration or related field preferred.
- Willing to complete training and professional growth.
- Proficient in the use of PC and software applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgets and budget management.
- Proficient in the creation of Requests for Proposals as related to ERate.
- Previous buying experience strongly preferred or ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skills.
- Four 4 years of budget and/or buyingrelated experience.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds

SALARY/PAY GRADE:
$58435/TC4
Salary (based on verifiable jobrelated experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Summarizes current financial status by documenting financial transactions collecting information and preparing balance sheets and other reports.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation for monthly utility services.
- Establish and implement purchasing strategies policies and procedures for technology ERate purchases.
- Manage the purchase of technology ERate products or commodities as directed by competitive bids competitive sealed proposals requests for proposals government catalog contract purchases informal quotations and negotiation following established district criteria and state purchasing rules.
- Collaborate with department managers to clarify purchase requisitions identify department needs and refine specifications as related to ERate commodities or monthly utility services.
- Follow proper channels to obtain purchase authorization according to district and department policy.
- Research and prepare bid specifications.
- Liaison between Technology Services and district facilities and/or vendors with regard to utilities or ERate commodities.
- Partner with Finance and budget managers to forecast commodity costs build cost projections and report on variances to budget.
- Determine the correct method to process purchase requisitions depending on total cost timeliness competitive bidding and existing contracts.
- Place orders to procure requisitioned items or services.
- Solve problems with orders or invoicing in an efficient and timely manner.
- Report recommendations to reduce cost and increase value to the Assistant Director of Technology Support Services.
- Responsible for work documentation of all assigned jobs.
- Keep the Assistant Director of Technology Support Services informed of all activities or problems.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy.
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents required.
- Perform other duties assigned.
