JOB GOALS:To enable students to derive the fullest possible educational experiencefrom school by promoting their sense of self and by treating anypsychological or mental health problems.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Standard 1: An education leader promotes the success of every student by facilitating the development articulation implementation and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by all stakeholders.
Functions

Standard 2: An education leader promotes the success of every student by advocating nurturing and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO ADMINISTRATIVE AREA:
1. Assesses difficulties of referred students through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices
2. Helps identify within the school all types of exceptional children and recommends corrective procedures.
3. Consults on special educational needs of students with social emotional and cognitive disabilities.
4. Attends ARC meetings on placement of individual students and conveys essential informationin an open manner.

staff professional and interagency meetings and keeps abreast of new developments in the field.
with professional development training of school personnel.
with personnel in the prereferral process and RTI systems.
comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation for referrals for exceptional children services for students in the 3 through 21 year old age range.
11. Participates in SBARC meetings to interpret evaluation data and generates appropriate
recommendations.
School Psychology interns as needed.
13. Solicits information about students from school sources and available community resources; interviews students and teachers effectively and engages in counseling procedures wheredesired or necessary.
