JOB OVERVIEW:
The Maintenance Technician has responsibility to keep the plant running smoothly and efficiently with a particular focus on maintaining and attending the highspeed packaging equipment. In addition to taking responsibility for the machine maintenance the technician works together with the Maintenance Supervisor Production Supervisors and Leaders other Maintenance Technicians and the broader team to identify and execute ideas to continuously improve production. This position requires exceptional mechanical electrical controls and troubleshooting skills with a problemsolving approach.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and support plant highspeed packaging line(s) to maximize equipment availability and optimize performance yield and costs.
- Inspect troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment problems including basic programming and PLCs.
- Assist in the planning process by identifying improvement ideas spare parts and work required to optimize the maintenance and upkeep of highspeed packaging equipment throughout the facility.
- Optimize overall equipment effectiveness by improving reliability process capability and machine rate while maintaining and improving safety and quality standards.
- Work with the machine operators to provide feedback education and expertise on machine operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Complete all building related work orders and routine and preventative maintenance as required
- Ensure structure is secure and maintained per quality standards
- Responsible for exterior repairs including fencing windows doors roof and etc.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and repair as necessary
- Work with the broader maintenance team to complete more complicated tasks
- Work with the production crew as needed to ensure compatibility of equipment with production needs
- Evaluate production line processes and help identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates efficiencies yields costs and changeovers
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturers to develop a costeffective and working production process
- Work with contractors as needed to perform duties on projects
- Other duties as assigned
JOB EXPERIENCE:
- 1 years of experience in building maintenance construction or similar field
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to use power tools (drill grinder impact saw etc..
- Strong problemsolving abilities
- Significant Mechanical and Electrical background
- Developed listening verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and detail skills
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Must be a problemsolver who uses good judgement
- Proficiency in computer skills including central maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferably FIXX.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Basic refrigeration knowledge preferred
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

- Adaptability to adjusting shift schedules based on significant business changes.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. It may also require working at elevated heights. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and talk or hear.

- Expected Pay Range: $25.19 $31.27
- Bonus: This role may further qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of bonus and incentive programs contingent upon achieving preestablished individual and company performance metrics.
