Job Posting: Payroll Manager
Location: Tulsa OK

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an opportunity to lead and make a meaningful impact Join our client a missiondriven nonprofit health organization with over 1500 employees dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. We are seeking a dynamic Payroll Manager to oversee and optimize the payroll processes ensuring our team is supported with efficiency and accuracy.

Position Summary

The Payroll Manager will lead the organizations payroll function ensuring compliance with all federal state and local regulations while maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of payroll operations. This role requires a leader with deep expertise in payroll systems and processes as well as the ability to manage and mentor a small payroll team in a collaborative missionfocused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all payroll operations including the processing ofpayroll for 1500 employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax laws wage and hour laws (FLSA) and organizational policies.
  • Lead and mentor the payroll team fostering a culture of accuracy accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee records including benefits deductions and timekeeping.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for leadership and external audits.
  • Oversee yearend processes including W2 preparation and filing.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and recommend system or process enhancements as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex payroll inquiries and escalations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role (experience in a nonprofit or healthcare setting is a plus).
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems (experience with specific software is an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a strong advantage.
