Research Lab Technician II
The Department of Preventive Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) is in search of a Research Lab Technician who can assist with ongoing research on the underlying causes of human cancer.
The ideal candidate is expected to have working knowledge of and handson experience with standard molecular biology techniques including but not limited to cell culture and biochemical assays for detection of DNA damage mutation and aberrant gene expression. Familiarity with microarray and/or nextgenerationsequencing based methods is a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelors degree in biology biochemistry chemistry or related field.
One year of experience working in a research laboratory.
This is a oneyear appointment with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance evaluation.

The hourly rate range for this position is $20.76 $25.22. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: Associates Degree. Specialized/Technical Training. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
