Job Description
The Shaw JCC is a community center located in Akron that offers fitness aquatics and childcare all within the Schultz Campus. We are looking for a parttime desk attendant who will have flexible availability with mornings afternoons evenings and some weekends. Hours will be up to 29 per pay period and could increase in the summer. This position works in multiple locations: front entrance desk fitness desk entrance and pool gate (summer only).
The desk attendant is responsible for welcoming members and guests professionally and courteously upon entry to the Shaw JCC. This position provides various administrative and clerical duties to support the operations of the organization. Customer Service is key! The desk attendant will eagerly assist members and customers in person or on the telephone regarding programs and services in a professional and polite manner.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills (able to multitask and work under pressure)
- Positive attitude and a team player
Education
- High school graduate
- Must be a minimum of 18 years or older
