Gradeper annum 12 months Fixed Term Contract /Secondment Opportunity

If you are an passionate individual who loves Community Development and enjoys working with our Voluntary Community Sector then we would love you hear from you. You will be part of the Refugee and Crisis Response Team that will be leading on our Community Hubs in the Borough.

ABOUT THE JOB

You will be responsibility for the Community Hubs across the borough ensuring effective stakeholder engagement working with operational staff customers communities and other stakeholders to ensure the hubs provide:

  • The right services to the needs of our community
  • A mix of business voluntary and council services at each hub that is tailored to that specific area
  • Urgent pop up services when needed. E.g. health alerts refugee / guests from abroad cost of living etc.
  • Lead on the coordination of council services within the hubs.
  • Coordination of activities with other hubs and community groups across the borough
  • Maintain governance arrangements for the community hubs and be part of the Poverty Reduction Board

ABOUT YOU

  • You have Community development and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • You have experience of providing support within a project and programme environment and have the ability to matrix manage projects with multiple internal and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan balancing priorities and deadlines.
  • You are highly organised selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative as well as part of the team
  • You have experience of developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication (verbal written listening) and interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work and a focus on delivery to deadlines
  • Ability to produce clear and concise minutes of project meetings.
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • A selfstarter able to act autonomously within broad guidelines and direction with a demonstrated ability tofocus on deliverytaking responsibility and accountability for pace and quality of outcomes.
