Job Description
The Global Engineering Strategy team (GES) is looking for a resultsoriented inventive data centre engineer to drive development implementation and delivery of enterprise data centers strategies through the use of collocation facilities and AWS infrastructure builds which meet strict quality and performance levels across the globe.
You will be involved in the engineering due diligence efforts for new and expanding regions which maintain the highest performance standards and utilize innovation to reduce budgets and increase efficiency.

Are strong leaders who can prioritize well communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery.
Provide creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus.
Work as part of a team to accomplish our goals.
Perform technical design engineering diligence for global regions.
Thrive in a fastpaced environment
Understand the best practices for service oriented product delivery
Have extensive experience within the arena of domestic and international data center delivery.
The Global Strategy responsibilities include:
Working product teams on infrastructure rollout plans in support of new AWS products
Support the power team with engineering analysis.
In conjunction with the Energy Team work with International Utilities to understand HV/MV substation design and impacts to assess risk and impacts on our builds
Provide a power strategy for the site
Contribute to site testfits and site plans
Provide engineering design decisions to the planning team for strategic planning and region selection.
Work with internal teams to understand design requirements and solicit internal customer input.
Collaborate with other disciplines such as Energy team electrical engineering architects
Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
Escalate issues as required and communicate clearly and effectively at the appropriate level of detail with people from a wide range of technical abilities and backgrounds.
Travel will occasionally be necessary but shouldnt be more than 25. International support will be part of the job.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
7 year of experience with industrial/ commercial design or experience directly related to data center infrastructure and data center planning.
Experience with Electrical Standards
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Familiar with Substation design HV/MV distribution systems.
Understanding of international code requirements.
Ability to research new designs technologies and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
An ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality reliability or maintainability.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212800/year in our highest geographic market.
