Job Description
The Transact team part of Amazons eCommerce Foundational Technologies is responsible for developing technologies that enable Amazon software application teams to
Live Migrate their OLTP Data to new region;
Replicate their OLTP date to new regions;
Providing federated access to data providers ;
Simplifying globalization of ecommerce data.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Product Manager Technical (PMT) who will be working with Transact engineering teams to focus on new product and technology development. The PMT is responsible for defining product strategy and assisting the team through the product lifecycle for our offerings. This position will be responsible for feature definition prioritization and communication with our thousands of internal users. This role will build and maintain relationships with technical and business leaders across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as the Voice of the Customer for several products throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch and subsequent support.
Drive product development efforts including research requirements definition metrics analysis technical specifications development and launch efforts.
Assist in developing new products by evaluating the business and competitive landscape understanding customer needs and value drivers
Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business design and development teams.
Work crossfunctionally to manage bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs balance the business needs versus technical constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve providing additional benefits to customers
Research and identify new opportunities
Present confidently to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executivelevel prioritization and planning
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
