Job Description
We are currently seekingTrade Compliance Lawyers to join our bench of attorneys working for our F500ranked clients in the aerospace defense and life sciences industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance and support to our clients on matters related to export controls sanctions customs compliance and other trade regulations
- Conduct thorough reviews of international trade transactions agreements and documentation to identify potential compliance risks
- Conduct investigations and draft voluntary disclosures
- Advise on trade compliance requirements and best practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement effective solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience practicing law with a focus on international trade compliance including familiarity with EAR ITAR FTR and/or AFAC
- Strong knowledge of import and export controls economic sanctions customs regulations and other relevant trade laws and regulations
- Ability to stay current on changes to trade laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts on business operations
- Active bar license preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience reporting results of document or file reviews.
- Prior experience communicating or briefing customers and stakeholders on the result of large document or file reviews.
- Ability to verify and provide US staff eligible to view and receive US exportcontrolled material.
- Ability to securely receive store and process US exportcontrolled material.
Compensation Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $150000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits 401K and more.
