The Planning Land Use Strategy Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Departments strategic planning policy rezoning and infrastructure projects all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live.
The role
The Senior Project Officer provides highlevel project management support to enable the successful delivery of Planning Land Use Strategy Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) initiatives and to support the achievement of key Department and Government objectives.
With a strong background in project management and delivery to support PLUSHI in executing key initiatives focused on driving project outcomes you will ensure milestones are met and managing risks effectively with proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects within government or similar environments.
The Senior Project Officer is responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. The role involves developing project plans timelines and risk management strategies; providing highlevel support through reporting governance and stakeholder coordination; and ensuring compliance with relevant policies legislation and governance frameworks.
About you
You will have a proven ability to deliver projects in complex environments ideally within government or a regulated sector. You will bring a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 Agile PMBOK) demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes and strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
You will also have experience managing risks budgets and project reporting. You are a highly motivated professional who takes initiative works well under pressure and is committed to delivering highquality outcomes. Experience in planning infrastructure or urban development projects is desirable but not essential.
