Job Description

Assignment will run from end of May to end of November

The work schedule is MonFri 5:30 AM until finished usually between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM. Will work 4/5 of those days
Positions available for both handling and collecting blood from horseshoe crabs and processing the blood in a laboratory setting. Selected workers will be trained on all SOPs and cGMPs as well as general aseptic processing and disinfecting techniques.

Primary Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the horseshoe crab blood collection process per approved SOPs; Includes settingup and preparing the collection area cleaning and preparing crabs aseptically collecting blood and cleaning and disinfecting the area at the end of the day.
2. Assist in crab blood processing per approved SOPs; Includes all Processing lab assignments centrifuging pipetting sonication solution preparation and cleaning and disinfecting the area at the end of the day.
3. Aseptically handle filled and unfilled collection bottles in and out of biosafety cabinets (hoods).
4. Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork entries per SOPs.
5. Clean and maintain production equipment.
6. Tag crabs with US Fish & Wildlife tags.
