Description
The Parking Attendant Cashier is responsible for managing parking operations collecting payments assisting customers and ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience. This role requires strong customer service skills attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and electronic transactions accurately. Parking Attendant Cashiers must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while working in fastpaced environments.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Collect parking fees using cash credit cards or electronic payment systems.
- Issue tickets receipts and parking validations as needed.
- Provide clear directions and information about parking policies rates and availability.
- Ensure security by verifying authorized access and monitoring parked vehicles.
- Maintain accurate financial records reconcile cash drawers and report discrepancies.
- Assist customers with parkingrelated inquiries complaints or issues.
- Keep the parking booth kiosk or work area clean and organized.
- Communicate with supervisors and security personnel regarding incidents lost tickets or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure parking environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience as a cashier parking attendant or customer service representative is preferred.
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Basic computer or POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge.
- Reliable punctual and able to work flexible hours including weekends evenings and holidays.
Work Environment
- Outdoor or indoor booth setting depending on the facility.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat cold and rain.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Interaction with a diverse range of customers including drivers event attendees and employees.
