Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Positioned at the regional hub the coordinator will lead SCHs rapid response functions locally while ensuring effective upward communication and alignment with nationallevel strategies. The role bridges central planning and fieldlevel providing a critical interface between regional stakeholdersincluding local authorities humanitarian partners communitybased organizations and private/public donors and the national Emergency Response Management Team.
The contract type is Service Agreement and the duration is 3 months and extendable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hublevel responsibilities include:
- Leading regional emergency assessments and supporting mobile medical team deployments in coordination with township focal points.
- Ensuring operational readiness at the hub including stockpiling of emergency kits team roster management and local logistics arrangements.
- Managing realtime coordination with district health departments CSOs and subregional authorities to avoid duplication and ensure localized responsiveness.
- Supporting strategic planning resource tracking and situation reporting from the regional level upward to inform centrallevel decisionmaking.
- Representing SCH at regional cluster meetings humanitarian briefings and local advocacy events as needed.
Reporting & Supervision
- The Hub Coordinator reports to the Response Coordinator with a dottedline relationship with the Regional Managers based in Yangon or Mandalay for operational matters.
- The position supervises field team leaders mobile team members and coordinates with admin/logistics and finance units in the regional office.
