Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and studentcentered Special Education Teacher to join our team in a resource room setting. This role supports students with a variety of academic emotional physical and developmental needs guiding them toward personal growth and educational achievement.

Position Overview:

In this role you will create and implement customized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that align with each students unique learning profile. You ll foster a safe supportive and wellorganized learning environment that promotes skill development and encourages confidence. Using continuous evaluation and progress monitoring you ll refine instructional methods to better meet student goals.

Collaboration will be essential you ll partner with classroom teachers school specialists and families to ensure a unified approach to student support. You ll modify lessons and adjust teaching strategies to support a range of abilities while also nurturing socialemotional growth for a wellrounded student experience.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a closely related field along with a valid Illinois teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education. A strong grasp of early childhood developmental milestones and effective behavior management techniques is essential for success in this role. While previous experience supporting preschoolaged children with disabilities is highly valued the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both families and educational teams is key to promoting student growth and achievement.
