Job Description:
The role of Graduate Student Fellow under the supervision of the Director of Sports Ministry will primarily focus on evangelism and discipleship ofstudent athletes and assist in facilitation of Sports Ministry programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Be consistently and relationally present connecting intentionally and serving as a chaplain to student athletes coaches and staff in the contexts of but not limited to assigned team(s).
Support Baylor Sports Ministry programming.
Participate in and help facilitate iDisciple.
Join Baylor Sports Ministry staff for team prayer planning meetings and practical ministry training.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Assist with special events hosted by Baylor Sports Ministry (ie. Worship events spiritual retreats community engagement projects) and in the recruiting for Baylor Sports Ministry programming and mission trips as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be enrolled in Truett Seminary Faith and Sports Institute experience in NCAA athletics preferred. Teachable spirit eagerness to learn in this unique ministry context.
