Job Description
Kate Furbish Elementary School is searching fora long term substitute for a grade one classroom teacher. This position will likely begin midMay until the end of the school year in midJune.
Desired candidates will:
- Have successful early elementary instructional experience
- Develop an inclusive classroom environment supportive of academic and social learning
- Createeffective rapport with students
- Effectively plan and implement approved elementary curriculum
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students
- Identify student needs and effectively collaborate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students
- Maintain a classroom environment conductive to learning good health and safetyin line with school wide behavior expectations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with families
