JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Urban Transportation Systems Group at Penn State is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar in the area of data analytics for largescale traffic networks. This position will be based in the Larson Transportation Institute within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include conducting original research documenting and disseminating research findings and project management. The successful candidate may also have opportunities to assist with teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students as desired.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The Postdoctoral Scholar must have a PhD in transportation engineering operations research mathematics or a related field by the appointment start date. In addition the successful candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and be able to work independently. Expertise in transportation data science and transportation safety is desired.
