Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician HVAC Technician Plumber Electrician Low Voltage Electrician or Carpenter to join our Facilities Team at Starfire Optical Range Kirtland AFB New Mexico supporting the USAF Space Domain Awareness program.
Starfire Optical Range is a world class research facility with recognized achievements in adaptive optics enabled by the quality enthusiasm and dedication of our entire team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance renovations and construction on multiple research and development facilities including labs and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems concerning building and utility systems.
To meet security standards and protocols all work is performed onsite at Kirtland AFT NM.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Poststart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3 years of experience in construction working on building systems in a commercial and industrial environment.
- Experience working with building codes and commercial construction interpreting highly complex drawings schematics and equipment manuals.
- Journeyman license in HVAC Technician Plumber Electrician Low Voltage Electrician OR Carpenter.
- Experience using hand and power tools to construct renovate and repair facilities and equipment.
- Willingness to work variable shifts including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Top Secret/Secret Clearance.

Experienced (level C):Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate2 years related work Bachelor etc..
Lead (level D): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate5 years related work Bachelor2 years related work etc..

This position is for variable night work to integrate test and troubleshoot fielded systems will be needed.
