Position Summary
The INDIANA UNIVERSITY MAURER SCHOOL OF LAW (Maurer) invites applications for a fulltime clinical faculty member to direct Maurers Community Legal Clinic which has historically been a public interest legal services clinic focused on representing indigent and lowincome clients in family law cases in Monroe County and surrounding counties in Indiana. We seek a clinical faculty member with an unwavering commitment to teaching and mentoring students in an environment dedicated to excellence as well as with strong enthusiasm for leveraging technology to expand the reach and impact of public interest initiatives. The clinical faculty member position includes both service and teaching obligations including but not limited to: Designing implementing and managing clinical projects that fulfill the programs mission of providing experiential learning and community service; Supervising and mentoring law students in realworld casework including client interviews legal research and court appearances; Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to design and implement technological tools and solutions to enhance the programs reach and efficacy; Assisting faculty colleagues in a larger law school project to coordinate the various public interest student opportunities at Maurer Law into a cohesive public interest experiential program; Collaborating with faculty and staff to integrate public interest initiatives into the broader curriculum; Establishing and maintaining partnerships with local community organizations and local courts; and Participating actively in faculty governance including committee work.
