HUALAPAI PREFERENCE
Position: Tribal Ambassador Supervisor
Department: Grand Canyon West
Classification: NonExempt
Salary Range: NE3W
Supervisor: Tribal Ambassador Operations Manager

Position Summary:
Supervises a team of GreeterAmbassadors who act as emissaries for the Hualapai Tribe throughout Grand Canyon West. Ensures that the team is providing outstanding customer service at all times and is providing information in a courteous friendly and personable manner. Responsible for coordinating daily work schedules and ensuring that Greeters are dispersed appropriately providing coverage to all GCW locations.
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Demonstrated ability to communicate well and interact with guests in a clear concise manner providing prompt outstanding customer service.
2. Demonstrated ability to provide train and promote outstanding customer service by team members.
3. Demonstrated ability to discuss and demonstrate traditional life ways and customs of the Hualapai people. Ability to teach new Ambassadors to feel comfortable in their role.
4. Ability to lead coach train develop and motivate Greeters. Foster a team environment multitask efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
5. Indepth knowledge of Grand Canyon West locations and operations Hualapai history and culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Direct supervision of Greeters Ambassadors. Coordinate daily work schedules of Greeters to ensure all GCW locations are covered.
2. Talk about give demonstrations and teach Greeters about traditional life ways and customs for the Hualapai people; food preparation clothing and footwear utilization of plants etc. Share similar information about other various Tribes.
3. Perform regular and timely Performance Evaluation discussions and documentation with members of team and promote team environment while providing individual growth opportunities for Direct Reports.
4. Assist guests with questions they may have concerning Grand Canyon West locations operations Hualapai history and culture. Provide and promote outstanding customer service using high service standards. Handle escalated issues or complaints.
5. Foster a team environment multitask efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
6. Ensure that all communications are shared with employees in a timely and accurate manner as appropriate.
7. Keep the Customer Service Manager apprised of all issues and fill in for the Manager in their absence.
8. Perform other workrelated duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
2. Valid Drivers License with clean driving record preferred.
3. High School Diploma or GED.
4. Experience working as an Ambassador or other Hualapai representative.
5. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Position may require ability to work outdoors for long periods of time regardless of weather conditions. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays. Willingness to work in a remote location.



Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is whollyowned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs Arizona. In 1988 the Hualapai People who have been part of this land since time immemorial established GCRC welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass horseshoeshaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West suspending them 4000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
