What Youll Be Doing
Join our Corporate Banking team as a Summer Analyst and become part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBCs nonbank financial institutions including hedge funds asset managers insurance companies and broker dealers domiciled in the U.S. Our goal remains to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in the U.S. and to work as one team to build our brand across North America and the world proudly living our values as we work toward our vision to be the leader in client relationships.
Corporate Banking is organized into industry coverage and product groups and works in partnership with the Loan Syndications and Structuring group that is responsible for structuring new underwritten and arranged transactions restructuring existing deals selling syndicated loans and advising our clients on market conditions and liquidity. Also forming part of Corporate Banking is the Trading Credit Group.
As a Summer Analyst you will become an integral member of the Trading Credit Team which includes senior corporate bankers by providing a broad range of support including financial statement analysis credit analysis industry research and assisting in the preparation of Annual Reviews and new accounts. You will also be actively involved in the credit approval process trading documentation negotiations and the ongoing management of the Trading Credit Portfolio.
Successful candidates will be provided the opportunity to gain experience working as part of the New York Trading Credit Corporate Banking team.

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in business related discipline including Mathematics Engineering Economics or related at the time of the internship
Expected graduation date of December 2026 June 2027.

Data analysis Responsible for conducting indepth company industry and portfolio analysis to support the credit relationships for a large and growing portfolio of clients.
Communication and relationship management Conduct sound timely and wellcommunicated recommendations for credit facilities supported by thorough analysis and wellexecuted interpretation of relevant financial industry business and market information.
Financial modelling Run financial modelsmainly focusedon credit analysis and risk rating evaluation.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $105000 $115000 (prorated for the 10week internship program) for the New York NY market based on experience qualifications and location of the position.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
