Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead legal support for all commercial aspects of the business in the EMEA region with occasional support for other territories. This senior role requires a seasoned lawyer to manage complex contracts provide strategic legal advice and drive key commercial initiatives.
Covering a 12 month maternity cover you will be responsible for the following:
Draft and negotiate bespoke agreements related to distribution advertising and commercial partnerships.
Provide legal and strategic advice to internal teams on contractual rights and remedies.
Offer ongoing business and legal counsel to support local teams.
Supervise junior legal team members and liaise with specialists in the Legal team.
Work closely with streaming and partnership teams to launch services and drive retail/wholesale deals.
Support strategic initiatives including joint ventures and partnerships.
Oversee litigation and enforcement managing external counsel as needed.
Manage key regional and international deals and attend meetings abroad when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
UKqualified lawyer (or equivalent) with extensive seniorlevel experience.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle complex commercial relationships.
Proactive flexible approach with willingness to support deals beyond normal working hours.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Wellorganised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strategic commercially aware and able to deliver practical legal solutions.
