Administrative Assistant Medical insurance (Remote)
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking support for a specialized program that provides life insurance services to military members and reservists. This opportunity involves working within a dynamic and collaborative team that handles daily business activities related to life operations benefits and claims. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing client documentation supporting application processes and contributing to efficient administrative workflows. Flexibility strong organizational skills and a clientfocused mindset will be essential to success in this role.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $20.27.
6month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.5 hours per week.
Remote position Monday to Friday.
Flexible start time between 8 am and 9 am.
Responsibilities:
Administration and processing of new applications for life insurance.
Maintenance of application files and followup on required documentation.
Support client and member requests for life insurance coverage requiring medical underwriting.
Maintain and monitor pending applications; follow up for additional information as needed.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the broader team.
Participate in adhoc projects and tasks as assigned.
Manage incoming correspondence including sorting opening and distributing faxes and emails.
Draft and prepare responses to standard inquiries.
What you will need to succeed:
High school diploma or GED required.
2 to 4 years of administrative or customer service experience.
Experience working with CRM systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and organize information effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Bilingual in English and French to support clients in both languages (nicetohave).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
