Job Summary:

Sunshine Project Management LLC USA is looking for a Brick/Block Mason Full Crew (Laborer and Foreman). The Brick and Block Mason crew will use bricks concrete blocks and other stone materials to build walls columns fences and other structures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform masonry restoration work such as mortar joint tuckpointing masonry repair/replacement masonry faade cleaning joint sealant recaulking and other wall faade repairs. Also includes some traditional masonry construction work such as laying brick block precast concrete and natural stone.
  
• Builds walls fences walkways roads and other structures using bricks stone concrete blocks or marble.
  
• Carves out and builds structures and surfaces with bricks or concrete blocks.
  
• Places brick or concrete blocks on mortar bed.
  
• Cuts or saws bricks to fit around windows and doors.
  
• Measures distances to lay out work.
  
• Mixes mortar and grout to be used to lay brick.
  
• Spreads mortar onto brick or block surface with a trowel.
  
• Examines brickwork to ensure structure is built correctly.
  
• All work is to be performed professionally and safely.
  
• Remove deteriorated mortar and install new mortar joints.
  
• Remove and replace deteriorated/damaged masonry such as brick block and stone.
  
• Install throughwall flashings at walls vents and other surfaces.
  
• Perform faade repairs to help maintain buildings and prevent/stop water infiltration.
  
• Lays and aligns bricks blocks or tiles to build or repair structures.
  
• Mixes mortar (sand cement lime etc. by hand or machine.
  
• Cleans construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
  
• Loads and unloads truck.
  
• Washes and treats wall surfaces using cleaning and water repellent restoration products as specified.
  
• Erects scaffolding and works out of aerial equipment to work above ground level.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of bricklaying techniques and procedures.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  
• Thorough understanding of math and geometry.
  

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
• Technical/vocational school program preferred.
  
• Three years of related experience required.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and working outside.
  
• Physically able to perform labor required to lay bricks and concrete blocks.
  
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  
• Excellent handeye coordination.
