At Lifescale Analytics we help achieve datadriven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions that ultimately help our clients to navigate their everchanging data have an opportunity for a Governance Specialist prefer candidates to reside in Melbourne FL but open to remote work in the following states: Florida (FL) Georgia (GA) Minnesota (MN) North Carolina (NC) Ohio (OH) South Carolina (SC) Tennessee (TN) Texas (TX) or Virginia (VA). Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to lead data quality stewardship and compliance initiatives across enterprise data systems with a focus on largescale datasets and government environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks that ensure the availability integrity and security of missioncritical information.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce data governance policies standards and procedures across the organization
- Collaborate with data owners stewards and IT teams to ensure data quality integrity and consistency
- Support the classification cataloging and lifecycle management of large datasets
- Implement metadata management and data lineage solutions using governance tools (e.g. Collibra Alation Informatica)
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and data privacy standards (e.g. FISMA NIST FedRAMP)
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics and KPIs
- Facilitate training and awareness programs related to data governance and best practices
- Assist in audit and risk management efforts by ensuring traceability and documentation of data processes
- Additional responsibilities as the manager/PM or client request
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 68 years of experience in data governance data management or a related discipline
- Experience working with large datasets in complex or governmentregulated environments
- Familiarity with data privacy protection and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST HIPAA CCPA GDPR)
- Proficiency with data governance and metadata management tools
- Strong understanding of data architecture quality management and stewardship practices
- Excellent organizational communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with government contracts or public sector data environments
- Knowledge of cloud data ecosystems and platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Qlik)
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance and acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Data Management Computer Science or a related field
Additional Provisions:
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.
