About the FGS Associate Program

FGS Global is seeking a fulltime Associate to join our Financial Communications team in San Francisco. Working at the intersection of business finance public policy and media the Associate position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in communications public relations investor relations shareholder activism and crisis management to develop research writing and media skills at a prestigious firm with highprofile clients.

Rising seniors and earlycareer professionals who are interested in media technology and finance are encouraged to apply for a position in our San Francisco office. FGS employees tend to be generalists who work across industries though those in San Francisco will have a higher exposure to global clients in the investing and technology sectors including venture capital and private equity biotech AI robotics fintech crypto enterprise tech and more.

Associates will begin a twoyear onboarding program. Assuming good performance Associates will move to a Senior Associate role after two years in the Associate position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in our office in downtown San Francisco (Financial District).

Responsibilities:

• Show up to work with an eagerness and desire to learn.
• Monitor media for assigned accounts.
• Conduct research and analyses for clients on a variety of topics.
• Support on newbusiness proposals including research background information and data.
• Interface with clients.
• Draft communications materials such as press releases shareholder letters investor presentations media Q&As etc.
• Grow sophisticated projectmanagement skills.
• Write and edit work with a superior understanding of correct grammar and punctuation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required.
• Strong interest in or prior experience of strategic communications corporate operations and finance client service financial services and/or investor relations.
• A quick learner with innate curiosity.
• Consistent reliability professionalism and maturity.
• Outstanding writing skills including excellent proofreading skills.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work diligently in dynamic and fastmoving situations.
• A collaborative spirit and eagerness to jump in at a moments notice.
• An ability to work well in teams.
• Advanced verbal communication skills.
• Solid research abilities and analytical skills.
• An interest in business and news.

This position requires the availability to work outside of normal office hours including nights and weekends when business needs arise.
