JD for Oracle Utilities Functional Lead
Job Summary:
The Oracle Utilities Functional Lead will be responsible for the implementation configuration and ongoing optimization of Oracle Utilities solutions including Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter (C2M) Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM) Oracle Utilities Billing and Oracle Smart Grid solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of the utility sector specifically within the electric and water domain and a proven track record in managing Oracle Utilities projects to successful completion.
Additionally the role will involve presales activities to support the sales team in engaging with prospective clients. The Functional Lead will assist in preparing proposals conducting product demos providing technical expertise during the sales cycle and helping to design tailored solutions that meet client needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills exceptional problemsolving abilities a deep knowledge of utilities operations and experience in presales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation & Support:
- Lead the functional design and implementation of Oracle Utilities applications (Customer to Meter Billing WAM and Smart Grid) to meet business requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Oracle Utilitiesrelated functional questions and issues ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business stakeholders technical teams and Oracle consultants to design and configure Oracle Utilities applications.
- Manage the endtoend implementation of Oracle Utilities solutions including requirements gathering solution design configuration testing training and postgolive support.
- Conduct detailed analysis of current business processes and work with the business teams to identify opportunities for improvement using Oracle Utilities solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on Oracle Utilities products and industry best practices ensuring successful deployment and operation.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops and training sessions for endusers to ensure a smooth transition to Oracle Utilities solutions.
- Oversee the creation of functional specifications and assist with technical documentation and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to Oracle Utilities applications during the implementation and operational phases.
- Stay uptodate with Oracle Utilities product releases ensuring the business is leveraging the latest functionalities and enhancements.
- Lead and mentor a team of functional consultants and business analysts ensuring highquality deliverables within project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Certifications: Oracle Utilities certification (e.g. Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter Billing WAM) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in Oracle Utilities with a focus on functional implementation and configuration of Oracle Utilities solutions.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role in Oracle Utilities projects preferably within the electric and water utility sectors.
- Proven experience in managing and executing largescale Oracle Utilities implementations (C2M Billing WAM Smart Grid) in complex utility environments.
- Indepth understanding of utility operations including customer service billing work and asset management and meter data management.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Utilities Cloud applications and their integration with other enterprise systems (e.g. ERP GIS CRM).
- Experience in presales support and clientfacing roles including delivering presentations and demos.
- Skills:
- Deep expertise in Oracle Utilities modules: Customer to Meter (C2M) Billing Work and Asset Management (WAM) Smart Grid.
- Strong business process analysis problemsolving and system integration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and lead teams effectively.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into functional system specifications.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Fluent in English
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in the Middle East utility sector or with large utility companies.
- Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements for electric and water utilities.
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Cloud and other cloudbased solutions.
