This position is for theschool year and will be placed in one of our schools depending on need. Salary is based on the adopted salary schedule for the 2425 school year at this time (starting salary $44200. Our SLPs arepaid on the teaching salary schedule but contribute to the PEERS retirement system.
We accept all previous years in certificated teaching roles as steps on the salary schedule. The Fort Osage School District prioritizes a highly competitive salary schedule with additional benefits including optional fully paid health insurance career ladder stipends (up to $5000 extra duty stipend opportunities and more. New teachers mentor program available for all first and second year teachers.
Must hold a valid Missouri Speech Language Pathologist Certificate or hold a valid license through the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.

Purpose Statement
The job of Speech Language Pathologist is done for the purpose of identifying students with communication
disorders; and planning and implementing appropriate treatment to minimize adverse impact on student
success.

Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; directing
other persons within a small work unit; monitoring budget expenditures. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to effect the organizations services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional
lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine
finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20 sitting 40 walking and 40 standing. The job is performed in a
generally hazard free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
