Job Description

The Opportunity

The EPC Project Director for Electric Grid will function in a project and commercial leadership capacity. You will own the bottomline for a portfolio of EPC and services projects primarily encompassing transmission distribution and substations. There is also potential to own projects in other areas of grid such as BESS and private networks. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a portfolio of some of the most visible projects within Clients
  • Lead projects that have substantial impact within various global communities
  • Mentor and supervise project managers in a highgrowth area of our organization

The Team

Our Grid solutions serve our clients to provide study level to fullscale EPC for electric power solutions such as Transmission Distribution Substations BESS and Private Networks solutions. As a Project Manager you are the hub for our clients and project teams providing leadership and alignment for successful electric grid projects. Our Energy & Process business is driven to meet clients rapidly changing sustainability needs in generation storage transmission and distribution of safe reliable electric power. Key Responsibilities

  • Directs complex projects requiring global resources and multiple partners or multiple PMs
  • Manages multiple clients and/or accountable for implementing expanded new business objectives
  • Oversees and delivers opportunities for new/repeat business finalizing key contract negotiations with client executives and project managers
  • Manages broad and varied complex risk profile

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring discipline and pay administration of their as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 years of relevant industry experience including at least one of the following:
    • 3 years as a Sr. Project Manager or Project Director for an EPC firm focusing on at least one of the following technologies (Transmission Distribution or Substations including overhead underground or HV)
    • 3 years in a leadership role where you were the owner for EPC T&D/Substation projects and working with an EPC firm
    • 3 years in a project leadership role (not including PMO or strictly operations) at an organization that focuses on utilityscale T&D/Substation construction and/or design
  • Experience negotiating contracts with clients in the energy utility space
  • Experience managing construction teams directly in both a directhire and/or subcontract construction environment
  • Experience managing risk for EPC T&D/Substation projects
  • Deep knowledge of the utilityscale T&D/Substation market

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete preemployment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check drug screen and motor vehicle records search in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
