technician also known as an HVAC technician installs maintains and repairs air conditioning systems in residential commercial and industrial settings ensuring optimal cooling and indoor air quality.
Key Responsibilities of an AC Technician:
Installation:
Installing new air conditioning units and related equipment including ductwork wiring and refrigerant lines.
Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters coils and other components to ensure efficient system operation.
Repair:
Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions replacing faulty components and addressing performance issues.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving problems with air conditioning systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Customer Service:
Communicating with clients to explain issues provide solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety:
Adhering to safety regulations and procedures when handling refrigerants and working with electrical equipment.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of work performed parts used and customer interactions.
Staying Current:
Keeping uptodate with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
