Job Description
Draftsman also known as a drafter creates detailed technical drawings and plans for construction manufacturing and engineering projects using CAD software or traditional drafting tools. They translate designs into accurate representations collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure projects meet specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities of a Draftsman:
Creating Technical Drawings:
Producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD SolidWorks or Revit.
Collaborating with Professionals:
Working closely with architects engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications.
Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance:
Verifying drawings for accuracy completeness and adherence to industry standards regulations and project guidelines.
Revising and Updating Drawings:
Making necessary revisions and updates to drawings based on feedback changes or new information.
Preparing Documentation:
Assisting in the preparation of project documentation reports and bills of materials.
Site Visits:
Conducting site visits as needed to gather information and ensure design accuracy.
Staying Updated:
Keeping abreast of advancements in CAD technology and design trends
