Electrical Draftsman -Wastewater Treatment
Location: Industrial Area
Duration: 2 months extendable
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman with experience in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical drawings and layouts supporting the engineering team in the design and coordination of all electrical systems including power distribution control panels cable routing and instrumentation interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and revise electrical drawings including SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) cable routing lighting layouts earthing layouts and control panel wiring diagrams using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
- Develop detailed drawings for LV systems instrumentation and automation panels used in wastewater treatment processes.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and other disciplines (mechanical civil ICA) to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
- Maintain up-to-date drawing registers and documentation in accordance with project standards and QA procedures.
- Incorporate revisions and comments from consultants engineers and site feedback into updated drawing sets.
- Support as-built documentation preparation after project execution.
- Assist in preparing material take-offs (MTOs) and BOQs based on electrical drawings.
Requirements:
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in electrical systems preferably in wastewater treatment or industrial plant projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus) and familiarity with relevant drafting standards.
- Good understanding of electrical symbols panel layouts instrumentation connections and cable scheduling.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches technical specifications and site inputs.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple revisions efficiently.
- Knowledge of basic electrical codes and practices (IEC NEC etc.).
