The role

As an Operational Field Support Relief you will be required to perform all necessary daily activities that are associated with servicing of Sandvik rock tools supply contracts including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies work scopes and contract documents.

This role requires daily driving of light vehicles and/or trucks use of iPads/computers for administration some heavy lifting of drilling consumables stock management regular communications with customers and various reporting requirements.

This role is to cover Operations Filed Support absence through training leave and customer requirements and will involve frequent and adhoc travel across Western Australia/South Australia to multiple sites and locations. The base location is Perth.

Areas of responsibility

Perform all the required duties to meet the Sandvik Scope of Works including:

  • Training and coaching new staff members.

  • Inventory and stock control.

  • Daily delivery of drilling consumables to drill rigs and drill sites.

  • Inspection refurbishment and replacement of drilling consumables including bit sharpening.

  • Accurate data recording of product usage and refurbishment.

  • EHS requirements.

  • Stores and workshop upkeep.

  • Using multiple digital systems for reporting.

Your profile

You will be highly flexible and willing to travel up to 70 of the time including the ability to mobilise at short notice as .

You must be able to pass a thorough medical including frequent drug and alcohol screens.

To meet our customer requirements you will be physically fit able to do shift work 12hour days) and able to work up to 14 days in a row. Rosters will vary frequently however are predominantly 8 days on 6 days off day shift only.

You will have experience working in mining or similar industry alongside heavy equipment. You will have a C Class Manual License and a National Police Clearance.

You will also be willing to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) HRWL HR License Dogging/Rigging Senior 1st Aid and other sitespecific licenses as . Sandvik will pay for tickets including paid training days.

You must have a strong safety commitment as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of onsite service contracts mining and familiarity with Sandvik drilling products would also be highly advantageous.
