Job Description

The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates a semiskilled and/or complex work force in order to meet production schedules and meet required cost quality and safety standards while driving world class manufacturing and communication methodologies in an equipment manufacturing facility. Maintains and manages the staffing in the department. Manages projects and reports that have a significant influence on the production function of the of this position include:Supervises and directs the production of a welding department to meet production schedules that meet or exceed quality requirements of the equipment improves processes and develops employees in department to meet quality and productivity requirements along with communication efficiency and utilization throughout department via assigning and developing Leads to help direct manpower address productivity process and quality issues where needed along with conducting root cause time standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain appropriate standards throughout departmental adherence to high standards of safety and housekeeping in compliance with company policies and governmental positive employee and management relations within the guidelines of company all related personnel actions (selection training performance reviews discipline etc. for production regular communication and safety meetings and drives resolution to quality/improvement opportunities with Improvement through suggestion process kaizen activities and root cause analysis along with driving autonomous maintenance employee development in lean manufacturing and cross QualificationsThe qualified candidate will have:Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Technical or Engineering degree preferred.3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
