Job Description

In this rewarding role youll provide care support and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) helping them accomplish their goals and reach their fullest potential. We are seeking fulltime Peer Support Specialist for our Hayesville NC Office and to provide the following services:
- Provide communitybased service for adults age eighteen and older who have a mental illness or a substance abuse disorder.
- Provide scheduled activities that promote recovery selfdetermination selfadvocacy and enhancement of community living skills.
- Provide wellness education via teaching problem solving anger management and other life skills.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Peer Support Certification
- Valid drivers license to be able to transport consumers
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Compensation: $18.23 hourly
