Job Description
Goal: This position will be responsible for providing supplemental tutoring services to children living at the Topeka Rescue Mission and via Zoom to students across the district. These services will be provided during the course of the grant period 202122 school year toschool year. The followikng activities will be expected of the person who will be providing these services after school during the summer professional development days and holiday periods.
Qualifications:
* 2 years college and prusuit of a degree in education preferred. Licensed educator preferred.
* Expected work time: 4 days per week; 2 hrs per day after school MondayFriday professional development days and summer hours to be determined.
Responsibilities:
* Under the direction of the McKinney Vento Teacher Tutor provide tutoring/homework assistance for academic achievement and skills acquisition
* Provide supervision during field trips and enrichment time
* Consult with parents regarding homework completion
* Provide resources to parents that could benefit the education of the child
* Provide direct support to individual students and to small groups of students
* Work collaboratively with other team members to provide suggestions and input for program fidelity and improvement
