Valley Vets are excited to be recruiting for a Hospital Vet to join our amazing team at our RCVS accredited hospital on a sixmonth fixed term contract to cover for one of our lovely vets who is taking a sabbatical. Ideally the start date would be the end of April for the successful applicant.
Youll get to work with our progressive enthusiastic and highly committed team providing a seamless 24/7 service to our valued clients in a friendly and supportive environment.

About you:
Were looking for a confident experienced Vet with a passion for supporting colleagues development. A team player with great communication skills you will be keen to share your knowledge and expertise able to demonstrate when required or simply observe and offer guidance.
The role will involve a mixture of hospital days with responsibility for inpatient care and ops days. There will be the need to pick up some emergency consultations and on rare occasions assist the first opinion team with their workload but no full consultation days. Confidence in surgeries including splenectomies amputations lap spays etc would be beneficial as would experience with managing complex medical cases.

Within easy commuting distance of all of our practices you can be living in the vibrant city centre of Cardiff surround yourself with nature and tranquillity in the coastal towns of the Vale of Glamorgan or the mountains of the Valleys and Brecon Beacons National Park.
The area really does have something for everyone. Sports facilities are extensive and broadranging: from the International Sports Village in Cardiff to UKrenowned mountain bike trails in Merthyr Tydfil and Cwmbran beautiful walks on the Welsh Coastal Path or mountain and waterfall walks in the Brecon Beacons National Park there really is something for everyone.
