Job Requirements:
- Former law enforcement or military experience required.
- College degree in Criminal Justice or a related field of study preferred.
- Five 5 years of security supervisor experience required.
Job Summary:
The position functions as a Supervisor overseeing Security Officers Lead Officers and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s). The Supervisor ensures:
- All post orders are followed.
- Established rounds are completed.
- Required reports are filed accurately and promptly.
- Proper authorities and clients are notified in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching & Discipline: Coaches and disciplines personnel appropriately. Seeks guidance from company management or designated representatives as needed. Personally meets with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Training & Oversight: Trains Security Officers and other company personnel. Reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
- Payroll & Scheduling: Assists in payroll submission and personnel information. Ensures adequate coverage for all posts and positions in coordination with management.
- Client Interaction: Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure all security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided.
- Reporting: Prepares files and submits various reports as required.
- Post Inspections: Inspects posts and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
Supervisory Duties:
In accordance with applicable company policies procedures and compliance with state and federal laws supervisory duties include:
- Interviewing orienting and training employees.
- Planning assigning and directing work.
- Coaching and appraising employee performance.
- Rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Making hiring and termination recommendations.
Other Duties:
May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policies.
