Employment Term (days): 187
Primary Purpose:
Assist Cosmetology teacher as directed with daytoday classroom operations and teaching duties in the classroom and salon laboratory area.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
High School diploma or GED
Valid Texas Cosmetology Operators License
Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
ESSA Criteria 2 years of study at an institution of higher education; an Associate degree or higher; or can pass a formal academic paraprofessional assessment)
Experience:
12 years of cosmetology salon or beauty/barber school experience
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Passion for studentcentered learning and student success
Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
