Job Description

  1. Title: FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CUSTODIAN

  1. Reports to: Director of Food Service Food Service Supervisor Food Service Manager

  1. Supervises:

  1. Job Description:

To maintain the school kitchen and. dining room areas in a physical condition of cleanliness healthfulness and safety at all times in preparation for educational and operational use and to assist with all kitchen duties.

  1. Job Qualifications:

Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent or the exhibited desire and ability to perform the required duties; previous experience in custodial work is desired; Fluency in writing speaking and reading English. Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required. Some positions require a valid State of Arizona Drivers License.

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dining room for breakfast and lunch meal This includes setting up the proper number of tables; arranging trash cans brooms and mop station for use during meal periods; and preparing sanitizer buckets for table cleaning. Prepping and serving meals as time allows.
  • Keep dining room clean throughout lunch period by performing tasks that include wiping down all tables emptying trash cans and cleaning trash/debris from Specific dining arrangements may be needed for students with special dietary needs i.e. peanut allergy or those attending special education programs. Flexibility for accommodating all students is required.
  • Assist cafeteria manager with putting away groceries commodities and milk when
  • Ensure tables floors and trash cans get thoroughly cleaned throughout school
  • Practice proper sanitation and safety procedures according to health department and district

Salary: $14.80 an hour

Full time 8 hours a day
