We are seeking a dedicated and studentcentered School Counselor (Guidance Counselor) to join our team. This role focuses on academic planning career exploration and postsecondary readiness ensuring that all students receive the guidance they need to achieve academic success and pursue meaningful career paths. The ideal candidate will collaborate with students families teachers and administrators to create a supportive environment that promotes student achievement and future Planning & Student Support:Assist students with course selection scheduling and graduation requirements to ensure academic student progress provide interventions when necessary and help students develop effective study habits and time management students in overcoming academic challenges by collaborating with teachers special education staff and student data to identify trends and develop academic success plans for students at risk of falling & Career Readiness:Guide students in exploring career options through assessments job shadowing internships and career college counseling including assistance with applications essays scholarships and financial students on alternative postsecondary pathways including vocational training military service and workforce workshops on resume writing interviewing skills and job search Development & Collaboration:Conduct individual and group counseling focused on academic success decisionmaking and future and deliver presentations on academic goalsetting career exploration and college with teachers parents and administrators to support student informed about trends in education workforce demands and college admissions to provide uptodate & Community Engagement:Serve as a liaison between students families and community organizations that support career and academic events such as career days college fairs and parent information accurate records of student interactions and progress.
