Job Description

St Albans City School is seeking a Level 2 Paraeducator. Paraeducators provide instructional and/or personal support services to students under the direct supervision of an licensed Educator. Preference given to individuals with experience implementing academic programming and behavior intervention : Provides instructional and/or personal support services to students under the direct supervision of licensed Requirements: To perform this job successfully an individual must demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills an acute attention to detail and demonstrated flexibility and and/or Experience: H.S. Graduate or equivalent. Must meet highly qualified status by either: holding an Associate Degree having 60 or more college level credits or completing an approved test or the equivalent. Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and one or more years of successful experience with special needs students are the Maple Run Unified School District:The Maple Run Unified School District enrolls approximately 2700 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes 2 prek 8 schools in the St. Albans area 1 prek 8 school in Fairfield Vermont Bellows Free Academy (High School) and the Northwest Technical Center. St. Albans offers convenient access to Lake Champlain is approximately a 30 minute drive to Burlington VT is a 3.5 hour drive to Boston and is a 1.5 hour drive to Montreal Quebec.
