Job Description

At Ventia were dedicated to supporting our client working with the Australian Defence Force in deploying critical health systems and managing medical assets that benefit our you have a strong background in warehousing we have a great Storeperson opportunity for you! Work with defence assets and join our stores team in Bundamba QLD.

Work Hours:Week 1:Monday Thursday 7:30 am to 5 pm (Friday is 7:30 am 4 pm) Week 2: 7:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday (Friday Rostered Day Off).

Requirements:

  • Current Forklift License (LF) is required.
  • Proven experience operating a forklift.
  • Warehouse or Defence industry background with experience in Defence Inventory Systems SAP and ERP is a plus
  • Current High Reach license is highly regarded.
  • Reliable transport and a valid drivers license (Car / Light rigid truck).
  • Available for an immediate start
  • Must be an Australian citizen capable of obtaining a Defence Security Clearance.

In this role you will

  • Perform stores warehousing distribution and transport activities
  • Ensure proper custody of stores e.g. stock check of quantities check for deterioration of equipment expiry of shelf life & Security of inventory
  • Apply quality control techniques to your work and to the work of other staff
  • Participate in monthly Toolbox Meetings
