Position Summary:
The Seattle Kraken is seeking a Manager Financial Planning & Analysis who is proactive driven curious and passionate about pursuing a career in the sports industry. The ideal candidate will have the desire to apply finance and accounting knowledge acquired through prior roles to the unique challenges of financial analysis at a professional sports franchise. This position will report directly to the Director Financial Planning & Analysis and will support a variety of FP&Arelated efforts including but not limited to the following:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage weekly monthly and quarterly revenue reporting to the NHL related to team revenue streams including ticketing sponsorship food & beverage and retail.
- Take ownership of internal reporting including a weekly revenue report for Kraken leadership a monthly financial package for executives and investors and monthly financial reporting for department leads.
- Support the preparation of other key financial reports for internal and external stakeholders including the Team President CEO and ownership group such as board materials reforecasts budgets and other ad hoc analyses.
- Drive financial analysis and provide key strategic recommendations for ad hoc projects related to business development special events and more.
- Analyze historical data related to ticketing sponsorship and other facility revenues and incorporate trends to improve future forecasts and budgets.
- Manage design and maintain financial reporting in Anaplan Seattle Krakens FP&A software and become a subject matter expert in the Anaplan software. This includes operating existing modules to support the Finance & Accounting teams budgeting forecasting and monthly close processes and building new models to create efficiencies with internal board reporting external hockeyrelated revenue reporting revenue recognition expense allocation and financial statement audits.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Economics or quantitative field is required
- 35 years experience in financial planning and analysis required
- Prior sports experience highly preferred
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Anaplan a plus
- Working knowledge of budgeting forecasting and financial modeling
- Ability to learn quickly open to change and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
- Strong organizational skills great attention to detail ability to communicate and collaborate with varying levels of employees and management

- In accordance with Washingtons Equal Pay and Opportunity Act the starting salary range for this role is $100k $110k. The full salary band for this level is $90k $110k. Actual base pay will depend on employees experience and other jobrelated factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:
- This role is based onsite in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However we do value flexibility as the business will allow and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
- Minimal Travel <10 travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends nights and holidays required.
- Frequent bending lifting 1520 pounds sitting exposure to multiple external elements extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
