Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

SHU Libraries Data Services is seeking a student worker who will assist and support the Data Services Team. This position will assist with conducting research; performing quantitative qualitative and data visualization analysis; and assisting with writing for publications and presentations. Training will be provided.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with transcription of interviews
Learning how to use data analysis software
Maintaining and organizing data files
Assisting with coding interviews and running reports
Maintaining a Reference List
Assisting with research for literature review for articles
Assisting with writing an article and/or conference presentation
Creating data visualizations from data
Participating in analyzing data

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Willingness to learn new technology
Ability to commit at least two hours per week
Excellent communication skills (written oral and listening)
Strong attention to detail follow up with students faculty or staff
Willingness to follow up with students faculty or staff

Student must be enrolled at least halftime for Fall 2025 classes
