We operate national and provincial lotteries in partnership with 3500 retail partners provide the games technology & oversight to 37 brick & mortar casinos and operate a safe secure and 100 legal online gambling presence PlayNow. In our recently completed fiscal year BCLC generated a record $1.5 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations host local governments health care education and community programs across the province.
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Mobile Experience & Omni Services is responsible for leading BCLCs mobile strategy. This highly collaborative role requires aligning overarching enterprise strategies with the specific needs of individual channels and applications. The Senior Manager must balance broader enterprise objectives with channelspecific experiences managed by respective product managers. This role works closely with Senior Leadership and app product managers to ensure a consistent brand presence and seamless user experience while integrating common enterprise services across all applications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Defines and leads the mobile and microsite (nonPlayNow websites) strategy aligning with our corporate vision for a Digital Future.
- Contributes significantly to defining the longterm strategic roadmap for enterprise services that support both channelspecific and omnichannel experiences.
- Develops comprehensive business plans to execute the mobile and microsite strategy clearly articulating benefit realization and supporting decisions with business analysis.
- Establishes overarching design principles (player business and architecture) required to implement our mobile strategy across a complex ecosystem.
- Participates in strategic planning aligning efforts with organizational imperatives and leveraging crossfunctional capabilities for systemwide benefits.
- Oversees enterprise account services that enable mobile experiences across BCLCs ecosystem of playerfacing apps.
- Negotiates and manages vendor and maintenance contracts to ensure optimal terms and deliverables.
- Manages significant budgets for operating capital and direct costs. Oversees an operational budget develops and manages business case investments for new initiatives/expenditures and makes highimpact financial decisions aligned with the organizations strategic goals.
- Exemplifies leadership behaviours that support engagement of staff such as practicing meaningful recognition inspiring a shared vision communicating with staff regularly coaching/mentoring others conducting performance conversations and supporting culture and change management initiatives.
- Fosters strong productive and positive relationships with key crossfunctional stakeholders within BCLC Service Partner senior management and external stakeholders fostering crosschannel opportunities and strategic partnerships to prioritize communicate and manage the development of playerfacing enterprise solutions.
- Acts as a delegate for their Director as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education experience and demonstrated skills may be considered.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelors degree in a business discipline such as business administration;
- 7 to 8 years related progressive experience in product management with at least 5 years at the management level;
- Experience developing and executing complex enterprisewide strategies;
- Experience in managing business relationships with vendors suppliers and internal stakeholders with a track record of proactively resolving issues through the management and elimination of risk.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of principles concepts practices techniques and tools in the areas of project management;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations develop solutions evaluate outcomes and readjust solutions for improvement;
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment;
- Excellent strategic orientation with an ability to find innovative yet practical strategies to achieve goals and to link several strategies into a unified futurefocused plan;
- Strong working knowledge of thirdparty vendor contracts and maintenance agreements;
- Strong technical background and experience with systems development quality assurance best practices and hardware technology;
- Advanced technical writing skills and able to write reports and document procedures;
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite: Word Excel Outlook etc.
