POSITION: Senior Manager of Teacher Development
LOCATION: DSST: Home Office located in Denver CO
SALARY: $77500 $93200 with up to 10 years of aligned experience
STATUS: 1 year fixed term contract Full time benefits eligible exempt inperson position (Denver CO)
START: July 15 2024 through June 30 2025.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Director Teacher Development and Instructional Leadership to identify needs design and implement DSSTs experienced teacher development strategy ensuring alignment with our mission and educational goals with a particular emphasis on advancing instructional leadership and deepening content expertise.
Lead the vision and strategy for developing experienced teachers at DSST implementing a comprehensive multiyear program aimed at enhancing instructional practices leadership potential and longterm career fulfillment. Ensure vision & strategies are aligned to DSSTs network coaching vision and vision for curriculum and instruction.
Partner with Home Office Content Managers to build development and coaching systems that elevate experienced teachers mastery of curricular content and instructional strategies.
Work in partnership with schools to support experienced teachers in refining instructional methods deepening student engagement and integrating innovative teaching practices serving as a consistent (weekly) presence on campuses.
Collaborate with multiple Home Office teams including Leader Development Culture Special Education Content Managers and Assessment to enhance professional learning experiences for experienced educators.
Manage and implement professional development initiatives such as networkwide content PD days instructional leadership training and differentiated learning pathways tailored to the needs of experienced educators.
Assess the effectiveness of professional development activities by leveraging data from surveys observations and student outcomes making informed adjustments to optimize the experienced teacher development strategy.
Stay abreast of the latest educational research trends and best practices in experienced teacher development instructional leadership and teacher retention to drive continuous improvement in professional learning initiatives.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color students with disabilities and/or multilingual students
7 Years of Professional Experience in Education
A proven track record of improving teacher practice through professional development at the school or central office level.
Experience with strategic planning and implementation resource development and allocation personnel and faculty development management and initiation of change;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree
At least 3 years of teaching experience.
At least 3 years of experience as an instructional coach.
5 years of professional education experience

Desire to personally and professionally grow in their practice of becoming an antiracist educator
Selfawareness a regular practice of reflection and a desire to continuously improve
Depth of knowledge in curriculum and assessment across content areas
Proven track record of driving to results in teacher instructional practice.
Previous school leadership required ideally in a high performing school context
Demonstrated excellence in leading professional development
Demonstrated experience in coaching and development of leaders
Demonstrated understanding of and a commitment to DSSTs mission and purpose teaching and learning and student success;
Skill in identifying problems analyzing data and making recommendations;
Skill in acquiring allocating and managing resources;
Skill in developing strategic instructional goals and objectives;
